The first rendezvous….
Going back 6 years…just came back after a 2 years stint in France…met my good friend Shanshank and his wife Saruchi…both hoteliers and dead tired at the end of a 12 hour grueling shift..unable to cook Indian fare for a semi French friend they suggested a dinner at Mainland China..
Chinese…Indian Chinese…well…nah…!! At least try once they said…Whokay if you are insisting. Guess what the restaurant was being renovated; but I came across one of the most courteous staff ever (national and international). I was impressed!! Didn’t happen to go back for next two years as I was working in the other end of Mumbai..mais boy o boy when I walked in the first thing I noticed was the plethora of smiling faces welcoming us…definitely a welcome change from the snobs of the other world..
And the food was to follow..
